In 2015 I developed and launched an award winning mobile application for iPhone and Android called MyLapse. The concept combined photography and time lapses in a way that gave the user a way to see how time effected them as an individual. The collection of singular images captured through a daily reminder system resulted in a looping gif/video we called a MyLapse.
Some practical applications included tracking of healthy lifestyle and diet changes, seeing the growth of a child, beard growth, dental progression, as well collages with friends and family during events and celebrations.
BarberQue was founded in 2016 after I had a personal experience with a homeless man that shook me to the core. I wanted to shine a light on an area of society that is often ignored, so I assembled what I felt was a team of folks that could help me attack this problem best.
BarberQue’s aim was to provide resources and a sense of community to those facing homelessness by bringing community members together and working collectively to spread joy, understanding, and support through the form of a family style party and complimentary haircuts.
While I am voluntarily no longer part of the BarberQue team, I’m grateful that my idea not only took flight, but that it continues flying without me on board. My spirit will remain in the engine of this project and I hope it flies forever, benefiting as many people as possible.
Sometimes people ask me if they should still donate even though I have left this team. The answer is yes.
After 11 years of off and on doodling, I finally put a product out.
I wrote the story, illustrated the pictures, and then figured I should try to self publish also since I figured out how to do all the other steps without any previous experience. So far, so good. Marvin Stench is available in the shop and on Amazon.com, but keep an eye on Books By Zepp which is where I’ll be publishing more kids books in the future.
My stories will always combine humor and thought provoking messages about self love that kids and adults can both digest enjoyably.
This one was short lived, but I made a news site that only featured good news. Unfortunately, it became a challenge to provide daily content. Maybe later.
